the hype of andy warhol, for one. andy warhol’s work is alright I guess, but most people don’t know that he wasn’t a painter. there are people in my advanced art class that don’t know this and think he’s the best fucking thing. he took pictures and made them different colors or made repeating patterns out of them. big fucking deal.
